If you haven’t been to CVRep’s Summer Cabaret Series yet, shame on you…..It is one of the most enjoyable evenings for theatre and cabaret lovers west of the Mississippi. In the past they have had such Broadway names as Karen Morrow, Teri Ralston and Alix Korey to name just a few. Also appearing several times was the very knowledgeable and very funny Glenn Rosenblum and his many stories about Broadway shows and stars.
This summer looks to be another wonderful set of evenings. Already having appeared was the very talented Tony-winning Faith Prince. With her strong sense of comedy and powerful voice, her act makes a fan out of everyone who sees it.
Next up is Glenn Rosenblum on May 22, 2024 returning to entertain us with stories and clips, this time about Showstoppers. He is also going to be onstage June 12 and July 17 with two completely different presentations. He is really a hoot and I’m sure you will enjoy the evening(s).
Following Glenn will be Edmund Bagnell on May 23, 2024. Edmund has been touring all around the globe performing both as a world-class violinist and vocalist. His smile will light up the room and his music will thoroughly enchant you.
Next up on June 5 & 6, 2024 is the return of Melissa Errico with her new show, “The Life & Loves of a Broadway Baby,” Words can’t do justice to the spell this woman casts when onstage. Her extraordinary voice and her genuine warmth and passion for performing plus a terrific sense of humor make her concerts unforgettable. She sold out quickly last year so don’t delay in grabbing a seat for this Tony-nominated, one of a kind performer. Performer.
On June 13, 2024 is another Broadway veteran, Alysha Umphress. She has appeared in such Broadway shows as On the Town (as Hildy), American Idiot, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Bring it On!. Her talent and personality will charm you as she has charmed audiences wherever she performs.
