Palm Springs Dance Project is pleased to collaborate with local, state, and national dance organizations to create family and student friendly events and programs in the coming 23/24 season. Listed below is a sample of how they are kicking off the season.

Palm Springs Dance Project
November 2023 kicks off a 6-week project with Coachella Valley Unified School District where Palm Springs Dance Project will be conducting in-school dance classes with dual language 4th grade students in a newly developed PE enhancement program. Underwritten by Western Wind Foundation, it is a proprietary program developed by dance educator, Shea New, Director of Education for PSDP, and is CA Dept. of Education VAPA compliant. The goal is to introduce 4th graders to the physical, mental and emotional benefits of dance while expanding their vocabulary and social skills. Plans include continuing dance infused learning with this cohort into 5th grade.
November 17, 2023 is Desert Hot Springs High School’s Fall Dance Spectrum, beginning at 7pm at the high school. Palm Springs Dance Project has awarded the DHS dance team a number of grants over the years and will attend the event and share dance information and opportunities with the students.
January 3 to 13, 2024 Palm Springs Dance Project will host Mathew Janczewski’s Arena Dances Company of Minneapolis, who will create original works under the spell of the desert region. The creation will culminate into a special works-in-progress presentation in the desert, as well as a unique educational opportunity for local high-school aged dance students.
