Leanna Rodgers and Colombian conga sensation husband Miguel Gomez, a Palm Springs entertainment and LGBTQ+ fan-favorite, return to the Vibrato Grill, following an exhilarating guest artist debut in April 2023.
Upon the success of Leanna’s guest appearance, Vibrato Grill partner (daughter of Grammy Award Winner Herb Alpert) invited Leanna to return with her own show on May 31, 2023. Leanna, alongside her husband, conga sensation Miguel Gomez, are excited to bring the renowned Palm Springs Jazz entertainment vibe to the hills of Bel Air. Following a year of personal family setbacks, including a house fire and the theft of their vehicle and music equipment, the future is bright for these Palm Springs residents.
Backing Leanna will be a sextet comprised of Palm Springs and Los Angeles musicians who have worked with the likes of Diane Schuur, Liza Minnelli, José Feliciano, Jennifer Holliday and Charo, to name a few. Their show will feature fan-favorite arrangements from their current Palm Springs residencies at the V Wine Lounge (“Jazz & Martinis”) and Palm Springs Cultural Center (“Jazz on the 2nd Floor”).
A Southern California native, with a BA in Theatre Arts (California State University, Long Beach), Leanna is a prodigy performer, both her parents performed Civic Light Opera / Broadway Musicals. An award-winning theatre recipient, she has studied and continues to work with top jazz musicians in the industry, including lending her voice to recording sessions for film, television, and radio. Celebrating 20 years of marriage, Leanna and Miguel are raising three musically inclined children who, on occasion, grace the stage with their parents.
Performance highlights include: the national anthem at the Acrisure Arena, Frank Sinatra Estate, opening the Playboy Jazz Festival (Hollywood Bowl), Agua Caliente Casinos, Palm Springs Pride, Oasis Music Festival, Tommy Bahamas, and Mr. Lyons.
Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Grill is L.A.’s premiere live jazz and dining experience, tucked away in the exclusive neighborhood of Bel Air, between Beverly Hills and Studio City, CA. Beautifully decorated and romantically lit, the venue will take you back to the time when jazz, big band and blues set the mood for a memorable experience. Cozy banquettes, tables for eight, seating inches from the stage, or gazing down from the intimate V Lounge balcony, there isn’t a bad seat in this picturesque establishment. Want to drop in for a craft cocktail and catch the show? The vibrant bar scene awaits and provides a clear vantage point to the illustrious stage.
