Comedian Shann Carr is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the ONE-PS Lip-Sync Battle on July 7th at 3 PM at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. After the success of last year’s event, excitement is building as locals eagerly anticipate another unforgettable showdown of talent and entertainment.
This year’s “Better Together” theme spotlights new contestant-teams representing many of the community organizations that make Palm Springs so special. Palm Springs Unified School District won The Battle last year and will be back to defend the crown against teams from Brothers Of The Desert, The Center, The CV History Museum, College Of The Desert, The LGBTQ+ Archives, PS Animal Shelter, PS City Hall, The PS Library, PS Police Dept. and The Transgender Health and Wellness Center.
Most of the contestants from last year’s competition are the judges this time, and they have been serving as coaches as well. “Each year, the competition brings together some of the hardest-working community members in the valley, all in the name of fun!” said comedian Shann Carr, the producer of this feel-good, ONE-PS event. “If you missed it last time, you heard about it because the good-spirited competition between valley organizations creates a lighthearted whimsy that is contagious.”
